Nuova nata in casa Naish Sails!

"Naish Boxer. Introduced in 2003 with a success that no one can argue mainly due to it’s compact profile and very short luff length. Today almost every sail maker has included a compact 4-batten sail in their lineup.
So what’s next…? An ULTRA compact geometry 4-batten sail… from Naish (which was a well kept secret during the past six months)

The story behind the “birth” of this new product involves Mr Mutant himself.

Mark Angulo, known for his make it or break it attitude, has found himself many time sailing Ho’okipa with a semi destroyed sail. Especially some times his Force has completely lost some part of the leech but he kept ridin’. It was then that Mark noticed that the rig was still sailable and according to him had some exceptional characteristics… so a concept for a new sail has popped up. Naish Chopper was born!

Down to facts: the sail range of the Chopper is based on one mast!  All sail sizes are rigged on 370m mast. Talking about sail sizes the Chopper comes in 4 sizes (like a T-shirt!)    Small, Medium, Large and X-Large.  Naish says that the “small” corresponds to a 4.2m with  the top end as a 3.7m, “medium” corresponds to a 4.7m with the top end as a 4.2m, “large” corresponds to a 5.3m with the top end as a 4.7m and “x-large” corresponds to a 5.7m with  the top end as a 5.3m.

Naish claims that the Chopper is a low swing weight, large trim range with a minimum mast breakage sail which fits perfect to the modern shaped boards. Note that Naish Chopper is suitable for riders below 86 kilos.

Another marketing gimmick or a killer new concept? We’ll have to wait 2-3 months to answer this.

Naish Force sail owners may cut the upper leech and get a taste of the new concept… today ;)"
